About Jessica

In life's inevitable times of change,
I want to help you reclaim your power, truth and magic.

I graduated from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College of Berkeley (AIMC) and have held internships at Charlotte Maxwell Clinic in Oakland, working as an acupuncturist and guided imagery specialist for women with cancer and at The Wellness Principle, specializing in integrative cancer care.

I am also a certified medical qigong practitioner, a cranial sacral practitioner and a clinical hypnotherapist, techniques that support in creating balance and clearing obstacles to growth in the levels of the body, mind and spirit.

I earned my love and relationship coaching certification with Layla Martin at the Tantra Institute for Integrated Sexuality in 2020, studying ancient Daoist and Tantric embodiment practices to help us uncover deep gifts stored within ourselves.

In my early career, I was a journalist, studying at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and Fordham University in undergrad.  I continuously found myself gravitating to stories of human resilience and self discovery through challenge. During that time, I became a devoted qi gong student and a volunteer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York supporting cancer patients in the practice of writing their story as a way of healing. This time was pivotal as I began the shift into the healing arts.

Before my career shift, I worked for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal as well as Parents magazine and the Hearst company's publication, The Daily Green. After becoming an acupuncturist, I was the Editor in Chief of the California Journal of Oriental Medicine (CJOM) for three years and edited the book, “Bridging the Gap: Integrative Oncology and the Practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine.”

I have enjoyed uniquely putting together
tools to help people through times of transition.

Another pivotal moment in my work is when I decided to deepen into one-on-one client work. I discovered this after moving to California in 2012 and becoming a part of Whole Foods Market's founding team to develop a wellness program for Northern California companies such as Google, Tesla, LinkedIn and more. I designed and facilitated healthy eating initiatives and programs for employees to dive deeper into their physical and mental health. It was an incredibly rewarding, innovative experience and I saw how unique and individual health can be and the need for more individualized support in order to create healthy habits and sustainable change.

This is when I shifted into acupuncture school. I had been a longtime fan of acupuncture, having first started seeing a wonderful practitioner in New York when I was struggling with digestive disorders and skin issues as well as the overwhelm of being a sensitive person living in a highly stimulating busy city.

As I uncovered many of my own layers of stories, conditioning and patterning in acupuncture and other healing work, I started to access my inner guidance and follow my soul’s work more confidently.

Through many life changes of moving across the country, shifting careers, navigating relationships and engaging in deep transformative work, I began to highly value earth and body based wisdom. The medicine that is innately within us. It is my mission to connect people back into the wisdom of their bodies and the tenderness of their hearts to reclaim and remember their true purpose.

In my spare time you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, making herbal medicine, camping along the California coast and tending my herb garden with my husband, sons, dog and two cats.

I am an intuitive acupuncturist, herbalist, clinical hypnotherapist and an embodiment coach. I have been a long time devotee to supporting people through moments of transition. Whether it was in my early career helping cancer patients heal through writing, time spent as an acupuncturist at San Francisco’s Homeless Prenatal Clinic supporting mothers-to-be or becoming a mother myself, I am well acquainted with the deep waters of change.

In my clinics, coaching and online programs, I provide in-depth guidance during rites of passage such as pregnancy, motherhood, heartbreak, illness and life's inevitable moments of change. Often times it’s hard to know we are in a rite of passage moment, it can feel like we’re totally lost with nothing to grasp onto as our identity reconfigures. Which is why we need a guide to light the way through so we can be reborn on the other side with more wisdom, strength and truth of who we are at the core.

My life work is to be that guide. Either in the midst of one of these changes or in preparation for them, I help you to tune into the easy-to-miss cues that your body is communicating that provides the blueprint for emerging from the experience thriving and into a life that your soul desires for you. A life that nourishes you, inside and out.
